What G.A.R.F. Offers?

G.A.R.F. offers rewarding and challenging volunteer opportunities. A free extensive training program is offered, which can lead to a volunteer advocate position with our agency. Volunteer service is impressive on a resume and can enhance job skills. Please call 686-8071 for information and to schedule an interview.

Why Volunteer?

Challenge yourself! By volunteering you can; learn new skills, try something you have never done, and assist an agency or cause you believe in. Helping others is a great way to see life from a different perspective...through the eyes of another.

Volunteer Advocates are asked to...

Be concerned, sensitive and caring individuals with a willingness to complete a 40 hour training program. Attend monthly meetings and assist others in crisis situations. Volunteers must be able to refrain from making judgments when working with people from diverse backgrounds, be conscious of the importance of maintaining STRICT CONFIDENTIALITY, and have a strong desire to make a difference in our community.
